“It’s the most wonderful time of the year…”

It’s definitely a wonderful time of year to consider sharing with and caring for others in our community. At Heminway Park School, one of our goals is to develop the whole the child, to stretch their view beyond the academics into understanding the importance of caring and sharing for the community in which they live.

The clubs and teams of HPS have planned several school-wide opportunities for the children to experience helping others in the community at large. We just completed a collection for the soldiers in Iraq. Children brought in everything from toothpaste to books, cards and CDs! During the month of December the various groups will be collecting toys for the children at the hospital, pajamas and clothes for the less fortunate and canned goods for the food bank. Please join in the fun of giving to others!

A special thank you to the ladies who have been running the Parents’ Group! They live and breathe volunteerism and community service. They have organized two successful fundraisers and a special end of term Reward Night! To all of the parents who have volunteered to date, we couldn't do it without you!!!! THANK YOU all for your continued support to make this a wonderful year for the students of Heminway Park School!

Whatever your beliefs, I wish you a peaceful and safe holiday season!

Sincerely,

Lisa Rommel
